All my friends know that I’m not a fan of cheese! This grilled cheese on Mackinaw Island was done on Forman grill and it was done right! Who knows, maybe it was an aura, maybe the geo-coordinates, maybe I was just hungry.

Grid cover story: Revolution Recovery
A recent shoot for GRID magazine was a great success. This time around I’ve gotten inspired by these noble efforts of Revolution Recovery. You should really read the story here or pick up a copy of the mag locally (Philadelphia Whole Foods, coffee shops, etc). But basically, Avi and John started a company with a very unique niche that nobody seems to want to deal with, sorting “garbage”. But it’s not garbage people put in trash every Sunday night, it’s waste from construction sites, that apparently takes up to 50% of land fills. While saving the planet step by step, they’re running a profitable business and also have an artist in residency program. You gotta read the story, it’s a great little gem.
I really liked the striking design and always am surprised by designs the GRID team comes up with every time. It does especially make difference for me when I feel like I contribute to a positive message.
